Criminals, Labors, and soldiers were angry because they were forced to work on the wall.
The wall also effected the people by making them feel secure from being attacked by Mongolians and other invaders.
The reason why they built the wall was because they could stay safe or away from enemies and so they won't start war with each other and not get hurt.
